10, 2004 : Slightly new look
I changed the background back to
the usual one now that Xmas is over.
I've been busy lately, so not much
new stuff will prolly happen this month. Soon, I'm gonna start messin around
with photoshop, so may make a picture section if I draw anything
cool.
Also, I'm looking to get more affiliates
for my linked sites page. Email
me if you want to
be connected to my site! |

New news on SP season 8! From SP
informer.com, the first set of season 8 eps will last for 7 weeks. That's
7 new eps in a row starting March 17th and ending April 28th!
Also forgot to mention, I won yet
another trivia game in #spstrivia on IRC last thursday! I'm getting a Kyle
cell phone cover, now all I need is a cell phone :P Check the SPS website
for info on future trivia games. They have had games on Thursdays at 6PM

8, 2004 : Top 10 Gay Cartoon Characters
Seeing that SP had an episode called
"South Park is Gay", and they are on the list, I thought I'd post the whole
list. Some website recently did a top 10 gay cartoon characters list. Here's
the results :
|
10) Batman & Robin
|
|
9) Beavis & Butthead
|
|
8) He Man
|
|
7) Yogi & Boo Boo
|
|
6) Velma
|
|
5) Bugs Bunny
|
|
4) South Park (everyone!)
|
|
3) Hopey
|
|
2) Peppermint Patty & Marci
|
|
1) Waylon Smithers
|
SP got 4th! I still think Batman
& Robin are gayer tho.
Also, SP season 8 premiere date
may be changed! I've heard that it may now be March 24th, but nothing official
yet. I'll post the official date when I find out. |
February
10, 2004 : MF89 is 2 years old!
That's right! I've had this website

:/
I'm almost done with the animation
and it should be up this week. I also plan to post some photoshop'ed pics
when I really get going with the program this month. Keep visiting to see! |
February
11, 2004 : Simpsons movie!!
Anyone here a Simpsons fan? I know
I am and, although I don't watch much anymore, I'm happy to report that
there will be a Simpsons movie! I found part of an interview with Mike
Reiss, producer and writer for the show :
Tom: What can you tell us about the movie?
We've heard that there was supposed to be a "Simpsons" movie for the past
several years but you don't want to just simply put three episodes together,
so how are you creating something new that's not been done before?
Mike: That's been the biggest challenge.
They've wanted to do this since season two. It's been 13 years of wanting
to do "The Simpsons" Movie. Finally FOX said, "Let's just do it!" We never
had the greatest idea that was compelling but FOX said, "Maybe if we start
paying you, you'll get inspired." And sure enough it worked! We've got
a very good and interesting idea and it's different from the show. You
know, it's like the "South Park" movie where it's just a bigger, longer,
amplified version of the show. I can't tell you anything specific about
it. My wife doesn't even know the secret.
Tom: When do you think "The Simpsons"
movie will come out?
Mike: I will say two years from this summer.
I think it's going to be Summer 2006 or maybe Christmas 2006. It's a reality
after being just sort of this phantom idea. I think it is really gonna
happen. |

February
12, 2004 : Animation up!
I finally finished the animation
I had been working on. I got the idea from Mythbusterson
Discovery Channel. They test myths and see if they are possible or not
and they proved this one correct! "Barrel" can be found in the Misc. section,
or by clicking here. |

13, 2004 : UK to make an SP-like TV show
Channel 4 in the UK is making a

18, 2004 : South Park News
SP season 8 WILL air on time, starting
March 17th at 10 PM EST. There was talk about the premiere being 1 week
later, but SPS now says that March 17th is the starting day.
Also, SP is selling sets of character
figurines for about $10 each. Sets available include Stan w/ Sparky, Kyle
w/ Ike, Cartman w/ Kitty, and Butters w/ Underpants Gnome. Click
here to see the sets.
1 more update : A rumor I heard
about (no real proof of it being true, tho) is that season 8 starts on
St. Patrick's Day, so maybe the boys will have a "Butt Out"-type of episode
involving drinking.
That's all the SP news for now.
More later this month probably. |

22, 2004 : Not
much is new on the site, just wanted to post a link to a cool article.

made the news. Click

I'm still learning Photoshop and
will be changing the site around alot sometime in April. I'll prolly use
Red, Yellow, and Blue as the main colors. Any suggestions of what to do
with the site, email
me. |

28, 2004 : SP & the Oscars
This year's Oscars air tomorrow
night at 8 PM. Although BLU did not win any awards at the 2000 Oscars,
Matt and Trey still attended the show, and their appearance made a list
of most memorable moments. Trey dressed as Jennifer Lopez, Matt as
Gwenth Paltrow, and co-writer of most BLU music (including Blame Canada)
dressed as their pimp :

have a website y then :o Nothing else new at MF89 for now, but I am working
on redoing the look of the entire site. It shouldn't be ready for a while,
but I'm working on it. |

2, 2004 : South Park Season 8 News!
New info on SP season 8, including
episode stories :
| NEW YORK, March 2, 2004 -With
so much attention on indecency in pop culture, will Stan, Kyle, Kenny and
Cartman change their ways? Find out when an all-new season of "South Park"
premieres Wednesday, March 17 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL. In Season
Eight, "South Park" presents a very special Easter episode, "The Passion
of the Easter Bunny." Also in this season, the kids "get served" when a
group from a rival town challenges them to a dance-off. With a nod to the
style of Japanese Anime, the boys buy ninja-like weapons at the flea market
and become powerful warriors. In other episodes, Cartman continues to terrorize
Butters by pretending to be his new best friend and he joins Jimmy in competing
in the Special Olympics. Finally, Lemmiwinks makes his triumphant return
to South Park. |
Looks like a great start for the
season! |

11, 2004 : SP Episode 801 image!

Looks like the Anime episode will
be the 1st of the season. Keep visiting for posts on any new ep info. |
| March
12, 2004 : Episode
801 will be named "Good Times with Weapons". Sounds similar to "Fun with
Veal" from season 6 :)
In other Sp news, the TV network
TrioRecently
aired a show about MnT's work with Shockwave. Years ago, they were going
to have a short Flash-Based series on the Shockwave website. Shockwave
told MnT to make it as bad as they want, and so they did. Shockwave was
"shocked" by the cartoons and never put them on their website. Click

Episode 803 - (No Title) - Kyle
sees "The Passion of the Christ". Cartman’s dream comes true when, as a
result of seeing “The Passion”, Kyle has to admit Cartman has been right
all along. Inspired by Kyle’s change of heart and a powerful love
for Mel Gibson, Cartman incites many of the film’s hardcore fans to band
together and carryout its message. Meanwhile, Stan and Kenny also
see the movie and embark upon a quest to find Mel Gibson.

4, 2004 : SP Season 4 DVD
South Park Season 4 will be out
on DVD on June 29th! The DVD will have all 17 episodes of the 4th season,
adding up to 308 minutes of South Park. Also, the DVD may include mini
commentaries by Trey and Matt and other small extras. Lots of people are
hoping for the original "Spirit of Xmas" Cartoon, but there is no word
of it being on the DVD. |
| April
5, 2004 : SP News :
Episode 804 - You got F**ked
in the A** - In this week's episode, it’s
up to Stan to put a team of South Park’s best dancers together to compete
against a rival troupe from Orange County. While Butters has won
awards for his dancing, he refuses to help Stan out, as he hasn’t been
able to dance since the tragic death of eight audience members at his last
competition.

The "You got Served" parody will
be used this week on SP. Looks like they may not do "The Passion of the
Easter Bunny" story at all, seeing as this is the final SP before Easter. |
| April
11, 2004 : Lots of SP news!
Lots of news bits about SP happening
lately, so here they are :
-
The SP Informer has posted a story about SP being "below the radar". With
all the crackdowns on decency on TV, SP seems to have been skipped over,
even though the show is as bad as ever! Click
here to read more
-
This week's episode, will be the return of Lemmiwinks! The ads say that
it is the Easter special, even tho TODAY is Easter! A little last for an
Easter special.
- More stuff from SP Informer : Isaac Hayes (Chef) will appear in new tourism
ads for the state of Tennessee. click
here for more
- Fansite news : Juz from the former sweeet.com has brought back his website
at sweeeter.com!
Juz makes lots of 3D SP images, and recently made one of Stan trying to
take the shuriken star out of Butters' eye.
- Season 4 DVD news : A picture of the cover art for the new DVD is out!
The DVD itself won't sell until June 29th, but here is a pic of what he
front will look like :

|
| April 12,
2004 : 5 Days!
That's right! 5 days! 5 days until
the redesign is finished! I will put all the new HTML files up this Saturday
and the entire website will have a new look. There will still be a few
small things that will be changed around in the next few weeks, but most
of the work will be done and online this Saturday!
Also, This saturday begins the NBA
Playoffs, so I'm already working on a 2004 bracket and animation! Both
will be online sometime next week. |
| April
12, 2004 : New episode pic :

I see at SPS that the Lemmiwinks
ep will NOT air this week :-( Here is the description of this week's ep
:
Episode 805 - Awesom-O - Cartman
dresses up like a robot, calls himself “AWESOM-O,” and moves in with Butters.
His plan is to learn all of Butter’s innermost secrets and then use them
against him. While Butters is thrilled to have found a new best friend,
the Army believes “AWESOM-O” is some new secret weapon, and Hollywood is
after the phony robot to develop their next big blockbuster. |
| April 17,
2004 : Welcome to Magicfanimation!
This is the new design for my website!
I even gave the site a name : Magicfanimation. It's a mix of the screen
name I use alot of places on the net (Magicfan) and the word "Animation"
:-) Most stuff should be in order now. Each section will eventually have
it's own logo on the top of the page and I should have some buttons designed
for the right side menu within a few weeks.
Some changes : The left side
menu is now on the right side and the stuff on the right side menu has
moved under the menu or to the bottom of the page. Also, each page (except
SP) has a red/yellow background pic. The posts on the main and SP pages
are now in red and yellow and are part of 1 table.
I posted a poll at the bottom of
the main page about the new look. Let me know what you think of it :-)
Also, click
here to see my predictions
for the NBA playoffs. Today is the 1st day of the playoffs. Although the
Magic are not in the layoffs, I will keep some stats on the games with
my annual playoffs animation, which will be posted on Sunday. |
| April 18,
2004 : I have
the bracket animation up now in the misc section, the sport section, AND
right
here! It will be updated
everyday with results of the most recently played games.
Nothing else new here. I'm still
working on logos for each section and some buttons for the side menus.
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this page to take the poll! |

19, 2004 : Episode info
Episode 806 - (no title) - All
the children of South Park are attracted to “Mr. Jefferson”, his son and
their home filled with games, toys and animals. Cartman goes out
of his way to get “Mr. Jefferson” to love him, while the local police force
resent him for being black and wealthy and decide bring him down.
Only 2 more new eps until this fall!
:o
|
April
26, 2004 :Last new episode until October!!!
Episode 807 - Wetbacks from the
Future - Humans from
the year 4035 are
arriving in droves in South
Park! Everything gets a little too crowded
when people from the future
arrive through a recently discovered time
portal. When the boys try to
earn some extra money, the time immigrants,
who are willing to do the same
work for next to nothing, take their jobs.
This will be the last new
ep in this run. New episodes are set to begin again in October. until then,
SPS says there will be some trivia games to play! Also, the Season 4 DVD
is set to come out this summer. I will keep on updating this section with
any new SP news I hear, also. |
April
28, 2004 : Episode renamed!
This week's ep is no longer called
"Wetbacks from the Future", but will now be called "Goobacks from the Future".
No reason has been given of as to why the title was changed, but the word
"wetbacks" must have been to offensive for CC ("wetbacks" is a slang word
for mexicans, especially ones who have crossed the border.)
Extra : SP in the news (from
Will's site) :
They
Killed Kenny -- Live (The Tufts Daily, MA) - A
live stage version of the movie, but not as raunchy. "South Park the Musical:
Bigger, Longer, and Live" is an irreverent, laid-back riff on an irreverent,
laid-back film. It's a fun story sprinkled with expletives, and potty humor.
So while that may not be for everyone, the talent of the cast and crew
working with the low budget and less-than-ideal space is worth a watch
alone.
What?
Morals in 'South Park'? (The New York Times) -
A nice analysis of what makes South Park tick. For all its anger at the
hypocrisy of today's society, it sometimes seems too sane for its own good. |

31, 2004 : Happy memorial day!
To celebrate memorial day, Comedy
Central aired BLU last night! A little late to let you know, but I didn't
even know it was gonna be on til 5 minutes before!
In other SP news, I found an article
on a new Farrelly brothers movie that will be made soon. Here's the article
:
GREAT MINDS
THE Farrelly brothers - who have
brought us such comic gems as "Dumb & Dumber," "There's Something About
Mary" and "Me, Myself & Irene" - are hard at work on their next project:
"The Ringer." Insiders tell us Peter and Bobby Farrelly's next movie is
about "a guy who rigs the Special Olympics by acting like he's retarded
and entering himself as a contestant." Sadly, "South Park" creators Matt
Stone and Trey Parker have beaten them to the punch: A recent episode showed
Eric Cartman entering the Special Olympics - only to lose every competition
due to his obesity.
Random fact (found at the Scriptorium)
: Alanis Morissette's favorite musical is BLU! |

October 20 - Season 8 resumes
(link>) Article
on SP and Religion (<link)
Info on "Team America" : Paramount
Pictures is hoping that action spoof Team America, by South Park creators
Trey Parker and Matt Stone, can be ready for a pre-election release, reports
Variety.
The studio's best-case scenario
for the $20 million film, which started shooting last month and stars marionettes,
would be an October 22 release. The spoof would serve as an R-rated comic
tonic to the barrage of election news this fall, adds the trade.
The story, written by South Park
writers Parker, Stone and Pam Brady, centers on a prototypical action hero
who's drafted to help Team America thwart the world's evil forces.
